Watch Alexandre Pato's goals against Chile

Brazil defeated Chile 4-2 in the first game of South-American Under 20, the tournament that will select two South American National Teams for the next Olympics in Pequim 2008 and four to the U-20 World Cup in Canada.

Alexandre Pato, the 17-year-old wonder boy who played for Internacional in the Fifa Cub World Cup, played just the last 30 minutes because he is recovering from a injury but scored twice.
His first goal, Brazilian third, was a amazing goal. Leandro Lima, from Sao Caetano, scored the two firsts in a come-from-behind victory and Pato finished the job.

What about Rivaldo?

Readers from El Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona’s sports newspaper voted for the best Barcelona of all times. And guess what? Rivaldo is not in it.

Rivaldo always have been known in Brazil as a player without any charisma. Not a hell of a merchandise boy. Not much a good speaker. Not a guy you want to be your friend. But, definitely, he is a tremendous player.

For Brazil, he was the leader of the 1998 runner up campaign when Ronaldo had problems in the final. In 2002, he was, my point of view, the best player in the tournament by far, although everybody remembers Ronaldo and his incredible recover from surgeries (not to mention Fifa gave Oliver Kahn the MVP!!??). Rivaldo also won Copa America in 1999.

For Barcelona, Rivaldo won two Spanish Leagues and 1 Copa del Rey. He played as a culé from 1997 to 2002. In this period, he was a magician and had probably the best individual appearance from a player in one game when he scored a hat-trick against Valencia in the last game of the Season. The last goal was a bycicle kick from the edge of the area in the 90th minute.

Now take a quick look in this all-time Barcelona team.

Zubizzareta, Puyol, Guardiola, Koeman and Sergi; Deco, Laudrup and Maradona; Cruyff, Romário and Ronaldinho.

I know Maradona is a legend. Probably the best player I have ever seen playing.. But face the fact he didn’t have a good season in the team.

At least with the FC Barcelona colors, Rivaldo was a better player than Maradona was.
